I am hoping to retire in 3-4 years and plan to build a home in Altos
during the next 3 years. I am an IT tech and my wife is an encology nurse and we are ready to re invent ourselves and start a new adventure. It's already been fun exploring Panama and finding our homesite. We will probably return again in Nov-Dec to seriously evaluate our property and start the process of interviewing architects and builders. So far I got a response from one architect, Delfin del Busto.

I have been in Altos since May 10th staying at my brothers cassita just up the road from the B&B. Since being here i have been making tons of new friends and finding out the ends and outs of Panama. Truthfully Abilio, this is my trial period to be absolutely sure this is where i want to be. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful, offering everything from advice on architects and builders to legal attorneys...i could go on. I am leaving on Aug 5th (90days are up) and I feelthat I am leaving my new home. Our lot is 100 in Laurel and I have spent quite a bit of time getting it in shape, cutting trees and planting others but most of all trying to decide on an architect and builder. Too many decisions and so little time. Guess I have to come back!
When are you coming? I look forward to meeting you and becoming friends.
