moving to panama

Does anyone know ANYTHING about moving household belongings via container to Panama?
We would, idealy, like to share a container with someone else, as we don't want to move all that much stuff.
Any imput will be welcome.

Hi guys, all I know is that from Montreal, Canada, it costs $2800 to ship a 20' container to Panama, and $3100 for a 40' container. It takes about 5 weeks for the container to make it all the way.

You have to be careful with moisture and water as things can get very wet on ships and containers are not hermetically sealed. So everything has to be packed very well, and any electronics should be packed in plastic.
